Cosmic Cones: Blast off to higher orbit!
Sometimes when you want to smoke weed, you want to explore new heights. What is a Cosmic Cone?
Sunset Lake Cannabis Cosmic Cones are preroll joints stuffed with a mixture of our sungrown Vermont cannabis blended with cultivar-specific dry-sift kief. The addition of the dry-sift kief is sort of like adding an extra rocket booster to your joint - it bumps up the potency and increases the effects.
Each cone contains 1 gram of this mixture and comes packed in a recyclable cardboard tube.
Cosmic Cones come in three strain-specific options:
All Gas OG (Indica) - 23.3% THC + 3.0% Terpenes
Mountaintop Mint (Hybrid) - 26.1% THC + 3.7% Terpenes
Pineapple Haze (Sativa) - 26.3% THC + 2.9% Terpenes
Are Cosmic Cones the same as moon rocks?
Simply put, no. Weed moon rocks are typically cannabis buds that have been dipped in (or sprayed with) cannabis oil and then rolled around in kief. Their craggy appearance is what has earned them the name “moon rock.”
Our Cosmic Cones are a blend of ground up Vermont cannabis flower and dry-sift kief. So it’s similar to moon rocks, but without the addition of the sticky cannabis oil which can soak through the paper making it harder to smoke. Plus, Cosmic Cones are already rolled up and ready to smoke, reducing the need for pre-flight crosschecks. (Are you enjoying all these puns? We’re having a blast!)
Do I need special equipment to smoke a Cosmic Cone?
Nope! All you need is to be at least 21 years old, visit a Vermont dispensary and have a standard lighter. Spark up your Cosmic Cone the same way you would any other preroll joint and get ready for liftoff! We recommend burning off the “crown” (the folded end) of the preroll to ensure an even burn and smooth smoking experience.
Should I smoke this whole thing?
That’s a good question for your Mission Commander (aka your tolerance). Everyone has a different tolerance level, so you’ll need to decide how much cannabis is right for you. Since Cosmic Cones have an elevated potency, it’s likely that most people will need to smoke less to achieve orbit. Cosmic Cones contain 1 gram of ground up Vermont weed and dry-sift kief, making them a great option for sharing with a friend (aka copilot).
Are Cosmic Cones legal in Vermont?
Yes! Our Cosmic Cone joints are legal in Vermont. When we were formulating our Cosmic Cones we took into consideration a lot of factors including Vermont’s laws about what constitutes a preroll joint versus what’s an infused preroll. We checked with the Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB) and made sure to follow all of the rules when getting these ready for blast off.

Are Cosmic Cones legal in outer space?
So we know our Cosmic Cones are legal in the Green Mountain State. But we never really considered if they would be legal, you know, out in the cosmos. We recently stumbled across an article called “Is It Legal to Smoke Cannabis in Space?” that offered some insight into our cosmic conundrum. TL/DR: Maybe - but it would be difficult and dangerous to actually smoke in space.
